Year 56 Space Art

We have created some absolutely amazing art in Upper Key Stage 2... showing that our older children have a unique creativity as no one piece of Space turned out the same. The children explored a range of drawing techniques and mixed these techniques with imagery to culminate in some truly outstanding outcomes.

Foundation stage art

It was a joy for me recently, to visit Nursery and Reception and marvel at the wonderful art work taking place in Foundation Stage. I truly believe that giving the children opportunities to express themselves creatively and learn new artistic skills at such a young age, leads to their interest, commitment to the arts and unlocks potential talents further up in school. It's fantastic to see that art outcomes are valued so highly through truly stunning art displays. Here are some highlights from the Reception class.....

Mrs Chin's and Mrs Steel's Art Club

We are sooooooo lucky, at Robin Hood, to have Mrs Chin and Mrs Steel running a lunchtime club. Mrs Chin brings a huge amount of expertise to the sessions, coming from an artistic back ground and from the outcomes, you can see just how fantastic the finished work is. Mrs Steel has very kindly offered her talents to help out as the art club is so oversubscribed and we, at Robin Hood like to give as many children as possible, the opportunity to be creative during and after school. The children involved love being part of these highly creative sessions.
It would be impossible to include every piece of work here on the blog but I have selected some pieces of work to showcase, in the first instance. I'm sure you'll agree they are stunning!

Welcome to the Art and Creativity blog

WELCOME!! I, Mrs Dale, have decided to set up a blog to celebrate all things Art at Robin Hood. We are an Artsmark Gold school so outstanding arts provision and outcomes is all part of life here. I will regularly upload inspiring examples of work going on around school.  It is a real shame that we do not always get a chance to showcase everything we do, so this blog aims to do a little of this showcasing and give the children to see  some of their artwork Live on the net. ENJOY!
